Nikkei opened slightly higher in early Tokyo market Friday as weak yen lifted investors\' confidence. At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 15.41 points, or 0.16 percent, at 9,416.29. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 0.81 point, or 0.10 percent, at 780.25.
