The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Wednesday adding 56.09 points or 0.67% to 8,398.28 points from 8,342.19 Wednesday. The volume of shares traded up to 9,604,043 from 5,645,951 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR377,652,608.15 from QR265,299,043.02 Tuesday. Top gainers were Intl. Islamic Bank which was up 2.32% to QR50.80, Doha Bank by 3.90% to QR61.20, Gulf International up by 5.72% to QR26.80 and Gulf warehousing Co by 2.34% to QR32.75. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 114.29 while the Insurance sector rose 17.28 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 6.07 points and the Services sector added 37.25 points.
