A total of 3.82 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 77 billion Singapore dollars (1.44 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 232 to 211, while 518 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 10.52 points, or 0.33 percent, to close at 3, 196.07 on Tuesday.
