Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 20.03 points, or 0.60 percent, to close at 3,373.48.

A total of 1.89 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 08 billion Singapore dollars (790.1 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 286 to 172, while 499 others finished unchanged.

The STI index was up 14.59 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 3,353.45 on Thursday.

The Singapore stock market was closed on Friday during the Hari Raya Puasa public holiday.
