Tokyo shares ended higher Tuesday on a weaker yen and buoyant overnight U.S. market. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended up 86.65 points, or 0. 62 percent, from Monday at 13,996.81, rebounding from a six-month low in the previous day. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 3.33 points, or 0.29 percent, at 1,136. 09. Gainers were led by steel, paper and pulp, and information and communication shares. The turnover was about 1,568.2 billion yen (about 15.39 billion U.S. dollars).
