Tokyo stocks end the morning session lower on Friday, with Nikkei dropped to a three-week intraday low, ahead of a U.S. jobs report for December to be released later the day. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 29.07 points, or 0. 18 percent, from Thursday to 15,851.26. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 5.32 points, or 0.41 percent, at 1,291. 43. Decliners were led by shipping, mining and real estate sectors.
