Tokyo stocks ended the morning session lower on Tuesday following losses in the U.S. market. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 167.24 points, or 1.13 percent, from Monday to 14,641.61. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 19.46 points, or 1.63 percent, to 1, 177.38. Decliners were led by pharmaceutical, mining and rubber shares.
