Tokyo shares ended the morning session sharply lower Friday on lower U.S and European stocks overnight triggered by disappointing Chinese economic data for January. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average plunged 241.09 points, or 1. 54 percent, to end at 15,454.80, its one-month intraday low. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 16.95 points, or 1.32 percent, to 1, 270.57. Decliners were led by insurance, bank and information and communication sectors.
