Tokyo - BNA
Tokyo stocks fell slightly Tuesday, with the Nikkei Stock Average sliding 8.43 points, or 0.09%, to end the day at 9,525.32. Investors sold stocks to lock in gains before the US Federal Open Market Committee\'s meeting later in the evening. Market players also sold stocks ahead of the Dec. 16 general election, according to the (Nikkei) website. Meanwhile, a pause in the yen\'s decline prompted some investors to stick to the sidelines. As a result, stocks generally traded in a narrow range throughout the day.
