Tokyo stocks

Tokyo stocks rose Tuesday, tracking gains in overseas equity markets as China's latest round of monetary easing made investors more open to risk and a weaker yen lifted exporter shares.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended up 274.60 points, or 1.40 percent, from Monday at 19,909.09. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 26.20 points, or 1.66 percent, higher at 1,608.88, according to Japan's (Kyodo) News Agency.

All 33 industry groups advanced except for shipping, with insurance, rubber and utilities among the biggest gainers.
