Tokyo - QNA
Tokyo stocks slipped Tuesday, with the Nikkei index snapping a three-day winning streak, as the yen advanced after the Bank of Japan held steady on its current monetary easing policy following a two-day meeting.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 116.68 points, or 0.68%, from Monday at 17,117.07. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 7.87 points, or 0.57%, lower at 1,372.08.
Decliners were led by insurance, mining, and iron and steel issues.
