The US dollar increased against most major currencies on Monday amid positive remarks of a Federal Reserve official.

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.1388 dollars from 1.1394 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 108.45 Japanese yen, higher than 107.12 in the previous session.
