US stocks closed higher Tuesday as tech sector gains helped the Nasdaq to close at a record high.

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 17.88 points, or 0.1%, to 18547.30.The S&P 500 rose 4.26 points, or 0.2%, to 2186.90. Nasdaq Composite added 15.47 points, or 0.3%, to 5260.08.
