Australian engineering group Downer EDI announced Wednesday it had won a contract, valued at around 70 million AU dollars (62.3 million U.S. dollars), from Crocodile Gold Corp to provide mining services at the Canadian company's Cosmo Gold Mine in the Northern Territory. Downer EDI said the two-year mining services contract will start in March 2014. The scope of work includes development, mining and other works to maintain the supply of mill feed ore at the mine's underground operations. Cosmo Gold Mine is one of the three mines operated by Crocodile Gold Corp in Australia. "Our highly skilled and experienced underground mining team looks forward to working with Crocodile Gold Corp on this important project," Downer Chief Executive Officer Grant Fenn said in a statement released Wednesday.
