The President of the EU\'s executive arm says the 17-nation eurozone could not be managed by a central economic government as proposed by France and Germany, AP reported. Jose Manuel Barroso told the Friday edition of German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung that the eurozone economies with their 330 million citizens could not be governed \"by two annual meetings of the heads of government.\" Instead of what he describes as an \"illusion,\" the head of the European Commission wants stronger EU institutions. France and Germany - representing about half of the bloc\'s output - have proposed an economic government that foresees two annual summits to strengthen the bloc\'s cohesion.
