Britain\'s economy grew by just 0.1 percent in the second quarter, down from a previous estimate of 0.2 percent, due to weak consumer spending and industrial production, official data showed on Wednesday. Gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the first quarter was also trimmed to 0.4 percent, down from the prior figure of 0.5 percent, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) added in a statement.
