Chinese maritime rescue authorities have dispatched a dozen of vessels to join the clean-up and recovery of a grounded Singapore-registered container ship off eastern Fujian province. The Fujian Maritime Rescue Center said on Saturday that rescuers are working to retrieve the ship\'s fuel oil which has leaked into the sea, and they have called ship repair factories to send workers to help disassemble 1,913 containers loaded on the ship. The ship, BARELI, ran into the reef near Jiangyin Port on Thursday. All 21 crew have been rescued. The maritime authority has set up barriers to block the oil spill from spreading. Police vessels and fishery inspection vessels are patrolling the waters to oversee pollution control and container recovery.
