President Xi Jinping said Monday that China stands ready to maintain close communication and coordination with Germany for a successful G20 summit in Hamburg next year.

Xi made the remarks when meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel after the conclusion of this year's G20 summit held in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou.
