Fresh Direct, Frito Lay, and Tic Tac all got in their April Fool's Day pranks on Twitter with fake product announcements. Fresh Direct tweeted an ad for the freshest food out there -- fresh salmon caught by an eagle in New York. The company still sells salmon but, alas, they have no eagles on their payroll. We're so excited to announce the best in #fresh and #sustainable seafood: Eagle-caught #salmon http://t.co/ZL2L7dJVMO pic.twitter.com/cyekqossrO— FreshDirect (@FreshDirect) April 1, 2014 Frito Lay tweeted on their Cheeto account that they would now be offering eau de cheeto: Cheetau by Chester. Attract all the cheeto lovers with a hot cheeto scent. Unpasteurized. Unapologetic. Unavoidable. Cheeteau, the new fragrance by Chester. http://t.co/RgWVflbhy2 pic.twitter.com/i8k22ZepPM— Chester Cheetah (@ChesterCheetah) March 29, 2014 Tic Tac also got in on the fun with a bubble wrap-lined Tic Tac container, making them shakeless Tic Tacs so no one hears the sound and you don't have to share. Introducing Tic Tac Shakeless! A pack custom-engineered to stop the shake so you don't have to share… APRIL FOOLS! pic.twitter.com/qiCdJ4hIqO— Tic Tac USA (@TicTacUSA) April 1, 2014 When browsing the internet April 1, people should take everything they read with a grain of salt.
