The Egyptian Minister of Planning Ashraf El-Arabi announced that the Kuwaiti financial aid approach to Egypt is imminent, commending the sustainable cooperation between the two nations. The Kuwaiti aid offered to Egypt is estimated at USD 4 billion - USD three billion of which will be distributed by USD two billion as an interest-free deposit at the Egypt Central Bank, and a remaining USD one billion offered in the form of petroleum derivates. El-Arabi added that any aid offered to Egypt does not necessarily come in the form of financial grants, but more importantly comes through attractions of foreign investments which results in increasing the national growth rate, besides offering new job opportunities.
