France’s gross domestic product (GDP) remained unchanged during the second quarter of 2014, official data showed on Thursday.

The forecast was for the French economy to show a small 0.1% increase compared to the previous quarter. The report of the French National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies that was published on Thursday showed that GDP was unchanged.
Year-on-year growth, the report showed that the French economy achieved an 0.1% increase, compared to the 0.8% achieved during the same period of last year.
