President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi chaired on Wednesday an exceptional meeting of the Supreme Security Committee and Supreme Economic Council.During the meeting he discussed a number of economic and security issues from various aspects.He also reviewed the nature of security situation and the nature of confrontation carried out by Yemen's forces of counter-terrorism unit against al-Qaeda militants "Ansar al-Shareah'' in a number of Yemeni provinces.The President talked about the risks of crimes in threatening security and stability in the country, noting to heroic operations carried out by armed forces and special forces unit against the areas of al-Qaeda militants in Abyan, al-Baida, and Shabwa provinces, which resulted in the death of 60 al-Qaeda elements."Yemen is one of the countries which deeply has affected by the terrorism since 2001,'' Hadi said.He noted to the international Counter-Terrorism efforts since 2001 and after the September 11 attacks.Concerning the financial field, he gave his orders to begin implementing the final stage of fingerprint and image system in order to face the county's budget deficit.He also ordered Yemen's Foreign Affairs Minister to intensify his contacts with brothers and friends, who would participate in the Meeting of Yemen's Friends to be held next week in London and put them in the political, economic, and security situation in the country.Moreover, the President ordered the Financial Minister to increase the level of general revenue especially in the fields of electricity, water, tax, and customs, giving his orders also to redress the imbalances in the financial institutions to dry up the corruption there.
