An agreement between Hong Kong and the United States for exchange of information relating to taxes has come into force, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government said here on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed in March and came into force on June 20, after ratification procedures had been completed in Hong Kong. It has effect for requests in respect of any period that starts on or after June 20, and for all charges to tax arising on or after that date.
