Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and his Tajik counterpart Hamrokhon Zarifi in a meeting in Kuwait underlined the necessity for the implementation and finalization of the economic projects agreed between the two countries.During the meeting held on the sidelines of the 10th ministerial meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in Kuwait on Monday, the two sides also discussed the latest developments in the relations between Iran and Tajikistan in the different political, Economic and Cultural fields. Iran and Tajikistan have recently accelerated expansion of their ties and cooperation and observers believe that the good achievements gained in area of their mutual cooperation should be deemed as a result of the efforts made by the two countries\' officials. Last month, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a message to his Tajik counterpart underlined Tehran\'s resolve to further expand ties with the Central Asian state. In his message, Ahmadinejad extended his congratulations over the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan\'s independence from the former Soviet Union, and hoped for the further enhancement of ties between the two neighboring states. \"I am confident that Tajikistan\'s government and people will step on the path of progress and development, relying on the country\'s age-old history and art and the valuable experiences they have gained during the last two decades after their country\'s independence, and on this path they will have the Islamic Republic of Iran\'s support,\" the Iranian president said.
