Israel has allowed the entry of cement to Gaza through the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing in the southern part of the Strip on Tuesday, in order to start reconstruction work.
Head of the committee in charge of coordinating the entry of goods into the Gaza Strip Raed Fattouh told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Gaza will receive 15 tons of cement, 10 tons of iron and 50 tons of gravel.
The whole process will be under the UN's supervision, he added.
The recent conference on the reconstruction of Gaza held in Cairo last Sunday had collected USD 5.4 billion to fix the damage of the savage Israeli attacks on the Strip last July and August.
