Kraft Foods Malaysia will distribute one million Oreos nationwide to commemorate the sandwich cookie\' 100th year celebration. Managing Director Sunil Sethi told Bernama that an Oreo mobile would go across cities to distribute the cookies for free to create \"child-like moments\" for consumers. He said this was one way to recognise what Oreo means to consumers in today\'s world as well to appreciate the cookies\' existence for 100 years. He also said Oreo\'s contribution to Kraft Foods\'s growth was very significant in Malaysia and in the region. Over 500 billion Oreo cookies have been consumed since 1912. Oreo celebrated its birthday by whisking hundreds of Malaysian families off blue Oreo hot air balloon rides and a host of fun filled activities here Saturday. Later, Sunil told reporters that the hot air balloon ride kicked off the year-long centennial celebration of the world\'s famous cookie brand known for its \"twist, lick and dunk\" (TLD) ritual. \"The TLD ritual has been at the core of many heartwarming family moments. \"The ritual delightfully engages parents and kids into forging closer ties that creates the child like moment and that is our focus throughout all the celebrations for the anniversary,\" he added. Kraft Foods is the world\'s largest biscuit baker and Oreo is made at 21 bakeries around the world. The sandwich cookies birthday celebration in Malaysia is part of the global celebration in more than 20 countries. In Malaysia, Kraft Foods brands include Oreo, Jacob\'s Cadbury, Tiger, Twisties, Chipsmore, Chipster, Clorets and other products.
