This came during Nasr's meeting with a number of members of Egypt-Japan Business Council (EHBC) in the presence of Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Takehiro Kagawa, chairman of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and chairman of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) along with senior Egyptian officials.
In a statement on Monday, Nasr said that the ministry is working on developing free investment zones and providing infrastructure for the investors in theses zones.
The government is working within a legislative framework to remove any obstacles facing investors, Nasr said, urging the Japanese investors to increase their investments in Egypt.
Nasr said that she is looking forward to getting acquainted with the Japanese experience in establishing free investment zones.
On the other hand, Kagawa asserted that the new Egyptian investment law will contribute to increasing the activities of the Japanese companies in Egypt as it is the biggest market in the Middle East and boosting economic ties between both countries.
