Qatar is poised to deposit one billion dollars in the Sudanese Central Bank to prop up foreign currency reserves, said Minister of Finance in Sudan Badruddin Mahmoud in a press statement at the conclusion of the visit here of Qatar''''s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Wednesday. "The visit by the Amir achieved much success since both countries agreed on a number of development projects in the energy and agriculture sectors," said Mahmoud, adding that Qatar currently invests in Sudan -- among other things --in cattle companies and agronomical ones as well. He said Sudan has decided to forgo the entry visa requirement to Qatari businesspeople and investors.
