Vietnam is expected to earn 9.69 billion U.S. dollars from farm exports in the first four months of 2014, up 13.8 percent year-on-year, said the latest report by Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on Monday. In April alone, the country is likely to ship agro-forestry- fishery products worth 2.63 billion U.S. dollars, said the report. Vietnam's export turnover of major agricultural products including rice, coffee, and rubber among others is forecast to hit 4.74 billion U.S. dollars in January-April period, up 5.8 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the country's seafood export revenue plans to reach 2.22 billion U.S. dollars, up 31.2 percent year-on-year. Wood and its related products are projected to bring in 1.9 billion U.S. dollars from sales for Vietnam, up 21 percent year-on- year, said MARD.
