Business sentiment for South Korea's construction industry improved to its best level in nearly five years in August, according to data Sunday, on what market watchers claimed was the positive influence from government measures to prop up the local real estate sector.
The construction business survey index (CBSI) for August released by the Construction and Economy Research Institute of Korea showed the barometer rising 2.5 points to 80.2, the highest in four years and eight months.
