A mass walk-out was narrowly averted at the press conference for new film Al Mamlouk on Saturday. According to Ahmed Al-Gohrai, the organiser of the press conference, the event was almost over when one of the journalists began discussing the Muslim Brotherhood. An argument ensued when others in attendance rejected what he said, shouting: “This conference was arranged for a movie, not to drum up support for the Muslim Brotherhood!” The journalists were about to stage a mass-walk out from the conference but, Al- Gohrai says, “I contained the situation with the help of movie star Rami Waheed.” Other actors including Ghada Greesh, Amr Abdel Aziz, Khaled Hamzawy, Noha Ismail, Mahmoud Hosseini, Venus and singer Celine, were also present to watch the drama unfold. Al Mamlouk was written by Amr Fahmy and directed by Ahmad Ismail al-Hariri.
