British actor Christopher Eccleston is in talks to play the villain in "Thor: The Dark World," the sequel to last year's "Thor," The Hollywood Reporter said. Eccleston is best known for his work on TV's "Doctor Who" and "Heroes." He would play the ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim in "The Dark World," which is being directed by Alan Taylor, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said. Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role of Thor in the sequel.
