World-renowned hypnotist Scott Lewis was found dead at his apartment building in Pyrmont, Australia, apparently from a fall off a balcony, officials said. Lewis was found dead at about 9:40 a.m. Saturday on a fourth floor balcony at the Goldsbrough Mort building, where he fell from his balcony on the 11th floor, the Sydney Morning Herald reported. The hypnotist's death was discovered after he failed to board a bus that was supposed to take him to the Sydney Opera House where he was to perform in a new show, entitled The Illusionists 2.0, which opened Thursday. The Opera House canceled Saturday's matinee performance, citing "unforeseen circumstances." Later in the day, the venue said Lewis would be "greatly missed," and that the Saturday night show would go on, with the rest of the cast "dedicating the performance to Dr. Lewis tonight." "The company is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dr Lewis," said Tim Lawson, co producer of the show.
