Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese's Rock 'n' Roll set was reportedly robbed.
A source confirms to Page Six that police were called and a report filed in June after several valuable vintage items were stolen from the HBO series set. Jagger, the producer, and Scorsese, the director, filmed the pilot at lawyer Mark J. Heller's house in New York. Items including $9,000 worth of Georg Jensen silver and a $5,000 Louis Vuitton briefcase went missing during the two-day shoot.
"There were a lot of people in and out of the house during the shoot," one insider says. "The owner returned and noticed the items were missing and filed a police report in order to file an insurance claim."
Rock 'n' Roll is a music-focused drama set in New York City in the late 1970s. Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire) portrays Richie Finestra, a struggling record executive in search of new talent just as punk and disco music begin to take form. The character must navigate the drug and sex-fueled music industry to stay afloat, and his efforts alienate his wife, former model Devon (Olivia Wilde).
The series is a concept created by Jagger and Scorsese, with Boardwalk Empire creator and The Wolf of Wall Street writer Terence Winter and Breaking Bad producer George Mastras as writers. Ray Romano, Andrew "Dice" Clay and James Jagger also star.
