General Manager of the music production company ‘Rotana’ Salem Al Hindi confirmed that prominent Syrian singer George Wassouf is not partially paralyzed after suffering a brain stroke before several months. Salem said that George’s left side was slightly affected by the stroke, especially his left hand and he is currently undergoing physical therapy until it returns to normal. Salem said, “We all pray that George gets well soon and we will stand by his side until his health condition is back to normal, and he returns to his fans and ‘Rotana’ family.” The company has been by George’s side from the moment his health deteriorated, he added. According to the Arab monthly magazine Sayidaty, Salem said that ‘Rotana’ will not give up on George and is confident he will return to the scenes in the near future. Recently, rumors began circulating that George had passed away, but close contacts to the singer immediately denied the rumors and said that he is currently in recovery and undergoing physical therapy.
