The Clash co-founder Joe Strummer

A 1963 Ford Thunderbird owned by The Clash co-founder Joe Strummer is going up for auction on eBay.

The 1963 Chalfont blue Ford Thunderbird was purchased by Strummer in 1987 for $4,200, though it's currently up to $22,100 on the auction website. The bidding ends Thursday.
Sellers Beverly Hills Car Club say the vehicle is in pristine condition after having spent several years in a climate-controlled garage.
"This is such a special car to me. I knew Joe Strummer as a boy growing up in London," said Alex Manos, owner of the Beverly Hills Car Club, in a statement. "He was one of a kind, just like this car. Joe had an enormous love for American cars and I feel it's serendipitous that this beautiful 1963 Ford Thunderbird is coming to us for sale."
Strummer reportedly used the vehicle to commute between his Los Angeles home and Baby O studios on Sunset Boulevard while he was recording Earthquake Weather, his first official solo LP, Rolling Stone magazine reported.
