At least 30 militants were killed on Monday as Pakistaniforces clashed with rebel groups in the South-West of Baluchistan.A statement released today by the Pakistani authorities said that 10 soldiers wereinjured in the clashes. They also said that a massive amount of weaponry wereconfiscated from the rebels.German news agency reported today that both Khuzdar and Kalat are considered tobe strongholds of Baloch nationalists, who blame the federal government fordepriving Baluchistan of natural resources and are fighting for independence.
