Libyan army forces seized a booby-trapped car before being detonated in western Benghazi, Spokesman for the Second Battalion of Commando units Salim Ghafir said Friday.
The Libyan army troops defused the car bomb while advancing in the vicinity of Chinese buildings in the city, he added.
Airstrikes carried out by Libyan army jets have forced terror groups to retreat, he asserted.
He pointed to the car bomb attack that targeted a military post in Qarnios Thursday, leaving a senior commander dead and two others seriously injured.
