The Libyan National Army has gained control over Ras Lanuf airport during a military operation conducted to retake Ras Lanuf and Sidra towns, Sky News channel on Tuesday quoted local sources as having said.

The Libyan army, backed by airstrikes, launched an offensive to recapture Ras Lanuf and Sidra after it has finalized preparations for the military operation, added the sources.
