Blast in Baghdad's Sadr City kills at least 16

Six people were killed, while 10 others were injured, including two security personnel, when a booby-trapped car blew up at the entrance of a marketplace east of Baghdad.

In statements on Sunday, Spokesman for the Baghdad Operations Command Brigadier General Saad Moen said that a policeman noticed a suspicious car that was approaching the area in which he opened fire, then the car exploded.

The soldier is among the people who were injured in the terror blast, Moen further said.
