Six elements of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) were killed and four others injured in sporadic clashes with the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, Sky News channel quoted local sources as saying.

The clashes, which also resulted in wounding an element of the Peshmerga forces, erupted in Tuz Khurmatu city in southern Kirkuk, the sources added.

The sources noted that a headquarters of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan was targeted in the clashes.

The Peshmerga forces responded to the shooting, lifted the siege of the headquarters and evacuated people who were inside, they said.
