Iraqi counter-terrorism forces on Monday stormed Wadi Hajar district in western Mosul.
In a statement, Chief of Mosul liberation operations Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah said Iraqi forces also launched simultaneous operations for clearing the liberated districts from Daesh control.
Three car bombs, 10 explosive devices, a machine gun-equipped vehicle, two mortars, and five drones equipped with small bombs were destroyed, he added.
Also, Iraqi joint forces made progress in various districts, arrested two Daesh militants and killed several others during the ongoing operation, he said.
Other districts were also liberated on various axes, he added.
