Emirati singer Ahlam has been chosen as one of the top 100 influential social media personalities in the UAE in 2016.
The results were announced recently in an annual social media report.
Ahlam is known to spark controversy with her outspoken comments, grabbing the media spotlight every now and then.
Millions love her and follow her on social media for a glimpse of all of those qualities, which she shows as a judge on TV talent show Arab Idol.
The renowned singer will perform a mix of her new hits and timeless classics at the Dubai Opera on Feb. 2, 2017. She will be the first Arabic female to perform singer at the newly opened venue.
Ahlam’s recently released video song “Ylazmni Khayalak” has been widely successful.
Ahlam has recorded more than 12 albums, and her career has included iconic performances in grand theaters such as the Paris Olympia Theatre and Misr Opera House in Cairo, four years as head judge on Arab Idol, frequent festival participation and symbolic social media interaction. Ahlam has a vast and rich musical background and has been honored and awarded for her achievements by festivals throughout the world.
