The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said death toll of the twin suicide attacks that hit two security bases in Homs earlier Saturday rose to 42 people of regime forces, including chief of provincial military security unit Brigadier General Hassan Daaboul.
The two attacks targeted the Syrian state security service’s local HQ in addition to the military intelligence building in central Homs, SOHR director Ramy Abdel Rahman said in statements Saturday to al-Hadath channel.
Security has been beefed up in Homs following the attacks in a bid to avert similar attacks to take place, the Dubai-based news channel said.
