Amman - QNA
The number of Syrian refugees who crossed the border into Jordanian territory has decreased from 3,000 over the Eid holiday to only 350 who crossed at dawn Wednesday, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on Thursday. Jordan\'s newspaper (Al-Ghad) quoted UNHCR\'s representative Andrew Harper as saying that the drop was due to various difficulties in crossing the borders which force some of the refugees to go back. Last night\'s bombing of Dar\'aa and other border areas within Syria had made the cross unadvisable, the UNCHR official said. The number of Syrian refugees in Jordan stands at 150,000, according to a national data while UNCHR reports show 35,000 registered Syrian refugees.
