At least 39 people, including nine children and five women, were killed by the ongoing bombardment and clashes between regime forces and opposition across Syria, said Local coordination committees of Syria (LCCS) on Saturday.

Fierce shelling by the regime forces on villages and districts of Damascus countryside left two people dead and others injured, the LCCS added.

As the Russian and Turkish-brokered ceasefire deal entered its second week, clashes and bombardment of Aleppo countryside, Idlib, Hama, Daraa and Deir Ezzor escalated, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
