Foreign-backed militants

Foreign-backed militants on Tuesday fired mortar rounds on several areas across Syria, and injured 12 civilians.
Eight civilians were injured when a mortar shell hit an area in the city of Damascus.
Militants fired a mortar round which fell in Souq al-Hal (a grocery market) in al-Zablatani area, injuring 8 citizens and causing material damage to a number of cars, a source at the Police Command said.
Meanwhile, two Syrians were injured by mortar shells that hit a number of neighborhoods in Idlib city.
Militants fired 13 mortar shells on several residential areas in the Northern and Western parts of Idlib city, in North Syria, and injured two citizens, who were admitted to the National Hospital of Idlib, according to a source at Idlib Police Command.
The terrorist attack also caused material damage to citizens’ houses and properties, the source added.
A source in Deir Ezzur province said that militants fired a mortar shell that landed in al-Joura neighborhood, wounding a woman and a child.
