The number of deaths from a series of bomb blasts across Syria continues to rise.

The death toll of a car bomb blast at a rebel checkpoint near the Turkish borders rose to 30, Sky News channel reported on Friday.

Syrian activists said most of those killed are opposition fighters.

The attack took place on the road connecting the rebel-held town of Azaz to the Bab al-Salameh border crossing. It is one of the most important junctions between northern Syria and Turkey.
