A total of 60 people were killed on Wednesday in fierce clashes between the Syrian regime forces, Nusra Front militants and other armed factions, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
Those clashes erupted in Al-Eis region, in the countryside of southern Aleppo, it added.
The London-based observatory noted that a state of cautious calm prevails the region after those clashes.
The regime troops managed to progress in the region and took control of some hills for several hours before the opposition militants re-seized them, SOHR indicated.
