The Syrian army killed tens of foreign-backed militants in Lattakia countryside in the Western parts of the country on Monday. More than 45 terrorists from the terrorist Al-Nusra Front were killed in Al-Nasr region in the Northern parts of Lattakia countryside on Monday. Also in the past 24 hours, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) killed tens of militants from the rival Al-Nusra Front and pushed the group out of Hasaka province in Northeastern Syria. More than 35 militants of the Al-Nusra Front and Kataeb Al-Eslami were killed in fierce clashes with the ISIL in Merkadeh town in the Southern parts of Hasaka province on Sunday. The militants of the Al-Nusra Front and Kataeb AL-Eslami were pushed back to Sovar town in Deir Ezzur countryside. Meantime, eight gunmen from Jeb al-Jandali and al-Mraijeh in old Homs surrendered and handed over their weapons to authorities. Elsewhere, the military commander of the ISIL was reportedly killed in the Northeastern Syrian province of Hasaka. Omar Farouq al-Turki was killed in clashes that erupted between ISIL members and rival militants from the al-Nusra Front in the region. Also, the ISIL and the Al-Nusra Front continued their heavy infighting in Hasaka province. The ISIL pushed back its rival Al-Nusra Front from its last military base in Hasaka province near Merkadeh town after heavy battles. Meantime, the Syrian army repelled an attack by the Al-Qaeda-linked terrorists on a Shiite town in Idlib countryside in Northwestern Syria. The army units supported by local people foiled the raid by the Al-Nusra Front on the Shiite-populated town of Foeh in Idlib countryside. Elsewhere, leader of the Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist brigade Ajnad al-Sham has been killed in the ongoing fighting in the Syrian city of Idlib, the terrorist group said. Ajnad al-Sham terrorist group posted a message on its Twitter account announcing that its military leader Abu Abdullah Taoum was killed in Friday battles with Syrian forces around Foeh town on the outskirts of Idlib.
